STRATECH DELIVERS WIRELESS TECHNOLOGY IN AIRSTRIP INITIATIVE
SINGAPORE,
July 10, 2003 – Mainboard-listed, advanced IT systems and technology
developer Stratech Systems Limited (“Stratech”) provided
key support to the wireless gatelink project conducted by The Boeing
Company’s Crew Information Services unit. Stratech served as IT
systems developer for the project, which was sponsored by the Airport
Systems Technology Research & Innovation Platform (AIRSTRIP) joint
initiative by the Economic Development Board (EDB) and the Civil Aviation
Authority of Singapore (CAAS). 
Wireless gatelink utilises Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) technology
to transmit data throughout an airport environment, enabling instant
sharing of data between aircraft, passenger terminals, maintenance operations,
baggage handling, ground-support equipment and more. Such instant sharing
of data would help airlines to increase operational efficiency and improve
on-time performance.
This successful deployment once again showcases Stratech’s ability
to build mega-, mission-critical systems in a timely fashion. Moving
forward, Stratech intends to work with industry leaders to deploy such
